Ive used this saw weekly over the past couple years and it never did me dirty. powerful and rugged. cuts good too. i don't know what all the fuss is about. i have 3 dewalt saws actually 4 my dad gave me his 12"er that's got to be 10 years old still works like new. i went to The orange store today to see the makita slider upclose since its suppose to kick the dewalts butt and noticed it has about an 1/8" more play from left to right if u extend the arm all the way out and push on the head. (from what i understand that's how to test for deflection) not saying its not a nice saw it is but i can definitely feel more play when trying to push on the head...
